Cloud computing is a gigantic global market, and the next generation servers that hold all the data and do all the work could be coming from Hewlett Packard Co. (HPQ). Their CEO, Meg Whitman, said that a major part of the company's turnaround will be Moonshot, a computer designed for data centers. The Moonshot computer servers will each hold 1800 low-power Atom CPU's. These servers will also be far more energy efficient than similar mass-market servers. This innovative design may bring some confidence back with investors and help the multi-year plan set by Meg Whitman gain crucial initial momentum.
